Pouring with rain when we set of and we were going to head to the Chute, but when we got to the river crossing at the edge of the forestry the river was swollen and uncrossable. We turned around and decided to do the MBR Killer Loop instead.

The bit along the Conti Trail was very wet and the puddles were full of Moor Grass which clogged up our bikes, rendering Johns unusable for a while. In the end he had to split the chain to get things going again.

The descent to the mines was fun as was the climb back up.

My lights died on the final climb to the car so I did it in the dark.
